Annie Lise Roberts, AIA
Annie Roberts, principal and founder of Pinebrook Architects, LLC, has been a practicing architect for over twenty-five years. Licensed in Connecticut and New York, her specialty is residential structures with expertise in historic homes and sustainable architecture. In starting Pinebrook Architects, her commitment is to help clients realize their dreams, while working within their budget, in a one-on-one relationship.

Annie holds her architecture degree from Cornell University, with additional studies at Harvard University and Centro Di Studi Di Andrea Palladio, in Vicenza, Italy.

She is co-founder of and architectural consultant for DoveTail Books, a publishing company featuring architectural books. She is the author of several books including a poetic cookbook called Cornucopia, The Lore of Fruits and Vegetables, (Knickerbocker Press); co-author of Washington Landmarks, A Collection of Architecture and Historical Details, and New York Landmarks, A Collection of Architecture and Historical Details (Rizzoli International Publications).

Prior to establishing Pinebrook Architects, Annie Roberts has worked on many residential projects independently throughout her career. She has also worked at some of the finest architectural firms including Faesy-Smith Architects, Wilton, CT; Davis Brody & Associates, New York, NY; The Liebman Melting Partnership, New York, NY; John Carl Warneke, New York, NY; SMS Architects, New Canaan, CT; and The Philips Janson Group, New York, NY. Many of the projects featured on this website were designed and completed while she was a project architect with Faesy-Smith Architects.

Before moving to Darien, Connecticut, in 2005, she lived for 18 years in Rowayton, Connecticut. These small coastal communities—and her many clients who live there—helped to shape her vision for Pinebrook Architects.
